This reinvented Penicillin layers smoky, herbal, and spicy flavors into a complex yet approachable cocktail. Empirical Cilantro brings fresh, grassy brightness, Faccia Brutto Centerbe adds alpine herbal depth, and Ayuuk contributes a smoky, chili warmth. Combined with lemon, ginger honey cordial, and a touch of simple syrup, the result is a cocktail that's bold, balanced, and unforgettable—whether served up or over rocks.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz Empirical Cilantro

  • ¾ oz Faccia Brutto Centerbe

  • ¼ oz Empirical Ayuuk (optional float or mix-in)

  • ¾ oz Lemon Juice

  • ½ oz Simple Syrup

  • ¾ oz Ginger Honey Cordial*

*For ginger syrup instead of cordial, adjust or omit the simple syrup depending on sweetness.

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients (except Ayuuk, if using as a float) to a shaker filled with ice.

  2. Shake well and strain into either a chilled cocktail glass or a rocks glass over ice.

  3. If desired, float Ayuuk on top for added smokiness.

  4. Garnish with a slice of ginger or lemon, if preferred.
