An easy summer Margarita with smoky Empirical Ayuuk and orange liqueur.

Ayuuk, our Pasilla Mixe spirit, shares the glass with tequila, dry curaçao and lime. Equal measures make it simple to remember and easy to scale up, and a salt and black lime rim adds a savory edge.
Ingredients
1 oz Empirical Ayuuk
1 oz tequila
1 oz dry curaçao (or any preferred orange liqueur)
1 oz lime juice
salt and black lime (for the rim)
lime wedge (for the rim)
30 ml Empirical Ayuuk
30 ml tequila
30 ml dry curaçao (or any preferred orange liqueur)
30 ml lime juice
salt and black lime (for the rim)
lime wedge (for the rim)
Alternatives
Dry Curaçao — any preferred Orange Liqueur.
Black lime rim — chili-lime salt, or salt mixed with dried lime zest.
Method
Pour Ayuuk, tequila, dry curaçao and lime juice into a shaker.
Add ice and hard shake.
Rim a glass with a lime wedge, then coat it with the salt and black lime mix.
