Empirical Cilantro Margarita
Zesty, green and refreshing with a savory herbal streak.
Simple · 3 min
Empirical Cilantro splits the base with tequila or mezcal, over orange liqueur and lime. Grassy, citrusy and crushable, it is the margarita we suggest for Cilantro; add a little chile liqueur for a spicy version.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Empirical Cilantro
- 1 oz tequila (or mezcal)
- ¾ oz orange liqueur
- ¾ oz lime juice
- Garnish: salt and lime wheel
- 30 ml Empirical Cilantro
- 30 ml tequila (or mezcal)
- 25 ml orange liqueur
- 25 ml lime juice
- Garnish: salt and lime wheel
Alternatives
- Spicy Margarita: add ¼ oz chile Liqueur.
Method
- Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake briskly until very cold.
- Salt half the rim of a rocks glass, if desired.
- Strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wheel.
