Empirical Cilantro takes the vodka's place, giving the drink a stronger core. Its green aromatics weave through the citrus and botanicals of the gin, Lillet Blanc softens it and a lemon swath lifts it. Stiff, yet decidedly well-composed.
Ingredients
1½ oz Empirical Cilantro
¾ oz London dry gin
¾ oz Lillet Blanc
Garnish: lemon twist
45 ml Empirical Cilantro
25 ml London dry gin
25 ml Lillet Blanc
Garnish: lemon twist
Alternatives
Lillet Blanc — Cocchi Americano or Bianco Vermouth.
Method
Stir all ingredients until well chilled. Pour into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass, gently express lemon oil across the top.
